Welcome to St. Pius Catholic School. We are celebrating over 70 years of service. We are a parochial Pre-K through 8th-grade parish school supported by a large, vibrant, and diverse community. St. Pius School, Home of the Shamrocks, was established by Monsignor Michael Fitzsimon in 1953 and was initially run by the Sisters of the Holy Cross. The charism of the Sisters of the Holy Cross centered on the core values of Faith, Compassion, Prayer, and Community. These principles are still important today.
St. Pius School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Western Catholic Education Association. Students receive religious instruction and a rigorous/comprehensive core curriculum enhanced with electronic devices and the use of iPads and Chromebooks as tools to assist them in their daily lessons or assignments.
Rooted in the Catholic Faith, the mission of Saint Pius Catholic School is the formation of the whole person through a Christ-centered community that fosters faith, intellect, and character. We are enthusiastic lifelong learners empowered by a positive growth mindset, and a creative community of learners who aspire to be an inclusive family of active Christians that nurture faith, inspire minds, and awaken talents in all students.
St. Pius Catholic School is committed to embodying the mission of the Catholic Church through education of youth and in forming disciples for Christ. We emphasize the education of the whole child, fostering spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth. We strive, in partnership with each family and the parish, to provide a strong quality education in a Catholic environment that promotes and inspires love, respect, inclusivity, and service to others.
We acknowledge that the responsibility of instilling good self-awareness, love of neighbor, and an atmosphere of a lived Catholic faith rests primarily with the parents. Therefore, we, the faculty and staff of St. Pius Catholic School, recognize that true collaboration with every parent and guardian strengthens our educational endeavors.
Our efforts are directed in supporting students and sending them forth, strengthened with personal confidence, a strong character, a passion for learning, and a commitment to faith to help them become responsible, compassionate, and active Christians.
