The school upholds strong Catholic ideals and incorporates them into every subject. A strong religion curriculum and daily opportunities for prayer support student faith formation. The curriculum program incorporates the Sunday Gospel where the students learn their faith within the curriculum as it relates to the seasons of the liturgical calendar. St. Pius School’s religion curriculum has been approved by the Department of Catholic Schools and complies with the required religion standards established by the USCCB.
The curriculum also teaches students about Catholic beliefs and traditions, Church history, and provides real life examples of how students can live out and practice their faith. Our curriculum helps St. Pius School to promote Gospel values, the School’s SLE’s (C.A.R.E.), and the values of the founding charism from the Sisters of the Holy Cross: Compassion, Faith, Prayer, and Community.
There are many opportunities for students to practice and participate their faith. Some examples of these Catholic values that are manifested in the students’ day-to-day life include prayer, community service, participation in school Masses and prayer services.
