How old should my child be to enter kindergarten?

Children should be 5 years of age by September 1.

What is the length of the kindergarten day?

The students arrive at 8:00AM and leave at 2:30PM

Is Day Care available?

Extended Day Care is open to all students at St. Pius School from 7:30AM to 8:00AM and 2:30PM to 6:00PM. Day Care is open on all school days, with morning only hours the day preceding Christmas, Easter and summer vacations. (See Extended Day Care Program section for fees and more information.)

How do I apply?

Sunday, January 26, is Open House following the 9:30AM Mass from 10:30AM to noon. Applications may be picked up at the Annual Open House or downloaded from the website and returned back to school.

Please bring a copy of your child's birth and Baptismal (if applicable) certificates and a $40.00 non-refundable application fee. When you submit your application you will sign up for a time for your child to be assessed for kindergarten readiness. Applicants for grades 1 to 8 should also bring copies of their report cards and sign up to take a placement exam.

What are the tuition and fees?

Tuition rates for 2019-2020 school year are $6,050 for one student, $11,350 for 2 students and $16,675 for 3 or more students. Tuition for all families who are not Catholic or live out of the parish is $1000 more. There is an annual nonrefundable registration fee of $400 per student to cover books, standardized testing and other program fees and a $100 technology fee per student.

Is there any financial aid available?

Tuition assistance is available based upon need. Application may be made directly to the Parish Finance Committee.

Is St. Pius School accredited?

St. Pius School is accredited by the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

How many students attend St. Pius School?

St. Pius School enrollment is at maximum at 315 students in grades Kindergarten thru 8th grade.
