The involvement of the parent community greatly enriches the environment at St. Pius School. All parents contribute to the school through service that supports the school's ability to provide an excellent academic program at a reasonable tuition. Parents organize many fundraising activities, assist with classroom events, support the sports program, encourage enrichment programs and are involved in parish activities.
Most parents participate in the St. Pius Parent-Teacher Group (PTG). The PTG sponsors occasional speakers for parents and a variety of social activities designed to foster community among the families of the school. The St. Pius School Commission serves in an advisory role to the principal and the pastor on matters affecting school issues and policies. In addition to school activities, many parents actually participate in parish life. Women's Club and Men's Club, Sunday children's liturgy, sacramental preparation, and the parish festival are some of the opportunities for involvement.
